Haiku
Summer acquaintance,
Love is in the autumn air,
Winter enemy.
Burned and banished prince,
with wise Uncle and a ship;
Changed and found himself.
Two boys in the woods,
one lied prone, the other ran;
Now, this bear eats the dead.
I hear hums and chants,
Echoing from old chambers,
A death conjuring.
Remember that spring,
mellow and melancholic.
Winds whisper, choice sways.
Don’t you fear, my dear
for the dawn is soon to near
and I will be here.
Amidst ash and bone
awaits a desolate throne
I won, but did I?
Vocabulary
needs dictionaries like a
whetstone to a sword.
Frosty petals fall,
alabaster and serene.
Roaring winds sigh bliss.
She’s the goal within;
every goal has a keeper.
You score regardless.
Three Sundays from now
golf or soccer, matter naught.
Let's go out and play.
The golden hour kiss
descending the horizon-
A hodgepodge of hues.
To wield or to yield
Choose glory or choose to fade.
Hunt or be hunted.
Constraints, frameworks, walls.
To institutionalize
body, soul, spirit.
Behold, wield your sword!
Battle for love or power?
Child and bride laments.
"Word of God," said he:
Leaflet of sins and penance,
I committed all.
The war is over.
Blood shed, thirst quenched, throne won.
Death and grief lingers.
Bird chirps, flowing streams;
Body healer, soul cleanser-
music of nature.
Could wait my whole life
but not just another three
and a half hours more?
See, the ‘caving’ sea
crashing, cutting, corroding-
Persisting through time.
A morning shower
petrichor and some thunder,
Quiesce and catharsis.
From TQDM,
I do love a progress bar.
One per epoch, please.
Hear the battlecry?
Dreaded soldiers, proven prince.
Don't forget your blade.
O’ sweet wintry rain
Douse me with dancing droplets
raging and solace.
Dum dum of the drum,
spirit of freedom and pride-
A march in rhythm.
Hear me roar, my child
To victory or glory-
rival tides are here.
Then I sat on the
scarlet mountain staring at
the stars, without scars.
Stock all while you can,
the siege shall begin at dawn.
Hail the Gods, save us!
Raging racking roars,
thudding tempestuous torrents
crashing from the cliffs.
What's faster than light?
Across quarks and galaxies,
Top-down, start to end.
A tissue for her
White, blue or polka-dotted
doesn't much matter.
A suit and a bow.
His uniform for the night,
appreciates tips.
You're a ripple in
the grand flow of the cosmos-
Wavelet of a wink.
Plan your trickery-
Hide your men within the horse.
Winning is winning.
She sang the wrong song.
Now withdrawn and desparate,
back to the shadows.
